Yes, it's on Gumtree and it does still look quite good
I've just included the cargo barrier for use when the 3rd row seats are removed.

1994 Jackaroo 3.1L Turbo Diesel Manual 7 Seater
NB This is the reliable mechanical injection 4JG2 engine, NOT the 3.0L 4JX1 problem engine
I have owned the car for the last 8 years / 210,000km. It has been fully serviced during that time including engine oil every 5,000km and filter every 10,000km. It currently is at 390,000km and the engine ...

Re: Hi, new here and leaking pump
Hi there,

Well I have bitten the bullet and pulled the injection pump out to have it rebuilt. I was trying to measure the current timing with a dial gauge so that I would know how it was; just in case things didn't go well. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a reading the same as the manual. Now ...

Re: Squeaky Tailgate!
Hi,
I'm not sure if it is the same arrangement, but on my Jackaroo, the offending piece was the little wedge shaped piece of plastic on the underside of the door which gives some support to the door when closed. A quick hit with silicone spray fixes it every time.

Re: Auckland N.Z. Mute!
Do you still have the cold start symptoms or have you moved on to an engine change? If it is a mechanical injection pump I have read there is a cold start mechanism which can get stuck and make it a pig when cold (belching white smoke and missing severely) and run fine when warmed up. My first ...

Re: Hi, new here and leaking pump
Thanks for the replies so quick. Yes, it has 360K on it as well as needing ball joints, steering idler, shocks etc which starts to beg the question about whether it's money well spent. I was a mechanic early in my career so I do my own work but I've never worked on diesels except for filters, valve ...

Hi, new here and leaking pump
Hi there,

I have only just stumbled on this site after owning my current '94 Jackaroo 3.1TD for 5 years and my previous one of the same year and model for 10 years before that. It looks like a good lot of info.

Current problem is a leaking injector pump which I've been quoted $1 ...
