Sounds like a good project is it going to be a competition truck?!

Had a setback at the weekend on the bushes
I got it all apart and once I got the torsion bars off I realised the shop had given me 4 of the 'front' lower control arm bushes and no 'rear's
So I did the fronts a had to put it all back together again!

The fronts weren't to bad I pressed them out with a ball joint press I had and a bit of pipe I found at work, but the rears looked a lot harder, diff in the way etc..

Go the truck all back together at weekend.
It was pulling to the right quite badly so I presumed it just needed a wheel alignment done.
I got the wof recheck done on wednesday and had a wheel alignment done at same time.

Its still pulling to the right quite badly, if you let go of the wheel you will end up on the wrong side of the road pretty quickly..
I though maybe a brake was seized on or something but the wheels all spin freely.

Anyone got ant ideas? something I may have done wrong putting back together?

Cheers

check both sides look the same although I cant see you getting it that wrong. Did the wheel alignment include shims? If it was badly worn when these were last done and its now unworn the camber/castor will be out.
What did the mechanic say?

I'm going to tackle the wizard tomorrow replacing top control arms with new ones and new bushes in the bottom arms new seal on the steering box as well while Im at it.
Also new steering components going in and dropping diff housing to change over to the same as the Mu one getting rid of the soft on the fly system all together pain in the ass with electronic and vacuum crap.
I have already got manual hubs on the wizard fitted if I had the money I would fit a elocker on the front diff will have to wait until tax return comes around.

I have checked to make sure didn't put ball joint back on wrong or something stupid like that.. cant see anything!
I wound the torsion bars up the same as I unwound them and they look back in the same splines..
The shims were done probably 3-4 years ago when I first did the ball joint flip,
I haven't talked to the guy that did the alignment yet as the the garage that did my wof sorted it out for me,
I've got the number now I will ring him on monday and see what he says

Did the puuling to one side change after the wheel alignment?
Did the wheel alignment actually get done?
Should it fail a WOF if it pulls to one side?

No It didn't change after the alignment.
On their website they reckon that a wheel alignment will fix things like.. "vehicle pulling to the left or right"
Its fair to say they didn't road test it .. its pretty noticeable..
I should have dealt with them directly..

Looking at the truck it looks like maybe the passenger side wheel is angled in at the bottom more then the other side.
That was the side the bushes where more worn on so I'm thinking the last alignment may have been done to worn bushes
