Hello all,

Firstly, hats off to Greeves. You are the diesel that keeps our isuzu's moving!

Recently acquired a 1995 Bighorn 3.1 turbo diesel (complete with all squeeks & leaks!). It seems all the shop manuals I see are 1996 and up. Is there anything significantly different between the 1995 and later models? Or do I just go with the 96 and hope for the best?

Cheers,

interestingly the manual quoted does not cover the electronic controlled injector pump so is actually more correct for yours than it is for a 96. Things like torque on demand and shift on the fly probably dont apply to your model Im guessing you have regular free wheel hubs. The few things that are different are things that you wont need. That manual has been fine for my 94 ls swb which doesnt even have ABS

Thanks Greeves,

I'm used to manuals being "pretty close". For years, owning 2nd hand trucks in Canada, Chilton's or Hayne's manuals always seemed to cover every model *except* for the one I happened to own. Kind of comes with the trade.

As for the truck, no TOD, but it does have a Lever type SOTF. It would be nice to have had manual hubs (like my old 1982 Toyota BJ40 Landcruiser), as I'm currently having vacuum issues with the 4x4 engaging/disengaging while I am underway. While I've the truck up to check the starter, I'll have a look at the SOTF vacuum actuator as well. In for a penny in for a pound...

Thanks again,
Cheers,
