Earth wire on 1990 2.6 Jackaroo

Question:- where does this earth wire, marked by the green arrow, connect to. The other end connectes to the firewall near the wiper motor.
I removed items to adjust the valve clearance, and now I am lost as to where this wire fits.

Problem solved. I had dropped the earth connection plate when I removed the device that clips the plug leads in place.
