What's my (engine) name again?

Ok Post #2... Hope I don't clutter things up with the same old questions...
I really would like to confirm exactly what engine I have in my car, and hopefully obtain some workshop manual, so I know what I'm doing when I work on it.
Someone has cut a manky hole in the bonnet and put what looks like perhaps a Bighorn air scoop over it, there is an intercooler on top of the engine, so I'm not sure if someone has swapped out the whole engine or just modified it a bit, some help here would be much appreciated.

I have conflicting information in the owners manuals and tags... One book says C223 2238cc, the other book says 4JB1-T 2771cc, and the NZ tag in the engine bay says 2700cc...

Can anyone help me?

factory should be a 4jb1-t could have a 4jg2, engine number is just above the starter motor on passengers side of the motor

There it is! caked in grease and oil... 4jb1... Good step forward, thanks for the location of the engine number.
